Booster Seat!

This morning, as we were picking up diapers at Target, a little booster seat caught my eye.  While his high chair does convert to a booster, it does not fit under our table.  The price was just right at $11.99(the fancier ones were $24 and up), so into the cart it went.  

Cruz sure loved eating dinner scooted up really close to the table this evening.  It was so weird seeing him sit just like us!  Another step in the direction of becoming a Big Kid!  Slow down, Cruz!

Father's Day-Part #3: Play and Bath

After his nap, Cruz was "Getting Dad!"  He kept saying, "Get you!"  It was precious!

Father's Day-Part #2: Cruz's First Haircut!

Before lunch, we headed to Sport Clips for Cruz's FIRST HAIR CUT!  We called my mom on the way just to give her a head's up, and she was less than pleased...but it really needed to be done. 

It surprisingly was not busy there, so we got in right away.  The girl who cut his hair was very patient and sweet.  Cruz did not want to wear the cape, but he was fine sitting there in the booster seat.  He was very calm and quiet as long as he was being fed Goldfish and "Candy"(Fruit Snacks).  We think he looks really handsome with his new do!  We are glad we got it done; it was overdue.  We even saved a few locks of it as well!

Father's Day-Part 1: Presents and Play

Today was a very nice day.  We played outside first thing in the morning, gave Ben his gift, and ended up at an impromptu haircut for Cruz.  

Elva, Cruz, and I went to get pictures taken as a surprise for Ben, and he sure was surprised.  He loved the pictures, but that is when he decided it was finally time for a cut!  

Elva made chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner, and then her and I headed off for a Mexican Dance performance in Peoria.

Dad and Lad Matching Hats

Ben was outside doing some yard work while Cruz was playing with his Water Table.  Never did I think he would actually wear the Cowboy Hat, but he did..just to be like Dad!  How precious!

New Play Toy!

A Pirate Swing and Slide Climber was delivered this afternoon by my friend, Jessica.  Cruz was super excited.  This will sure help to get some of that summer energy out!

Sitting on the Potty

This evening, Cruz sat on the Potty and actually went!  He was not focused at first, but Ben read him a book("Momis") and that helped!  It was so cute!   

He had gone on the potty at school before because the other boys were doing it, but has not been interested in it since..... I am not thinking this is means he is ready, but definitely is a good sign!
