Being Silly

This evening, we had dinner at Babbo up in Glendale.  There was quite a wait for a table, but luckily there was a nice patch of grass to play on outside the restaurant.  Cruz spent a lot of time flirting with the ladies and running around.  He sure kept Ben and I busy!

Busy Boy

Here are some shots that Ben took this afternoon while I was making dinner.  It was so exciting to see what he captured later.  He took some great pictures.  You really get a feel for Cruz's crazy hair.  He sure can also make some dramatic faces!

"Uh Oh!"

"Hey!"

Talented Boy!

Being Cute

Just hanging out and being cute.

Here is Cruz reading his "mail."  Everyday on our way home, I stop and get the mail.  There is always something for Cruz.  It is usually a magazine or junk mail, but sometimes there is really a card or a package for him.  He thinks he is pretty special.  He loves mail!

Stickers

Cruz and I attended Liam's second birthday party today.  It was a Thomas the Train Party.  Cruz had a good time and loved playing with Liam and Emily in the yard.  There were some train cars made out of cardboard, and Cruz loved playing in those as well.  Playing with Liam's wooden train set was also a big hit!  I think that might be on the birthday list this year.

There were stickers and a little notebook included in with the Party Favors.  Cruz was so excited to play "stickers" after his nap.  It was very cute.  It sure keeps him busy!

"Gogurt," A Scavenger, and "Hiding"

I bought some Go-Gurt for Cruz to see how it would go, and they were a hit!  He loved them.  I am so over mixing fruit with plain yogurt.  This is much quicker, handier, and the portion is perfect.  They won't be going to waste.  Even though I still refer to them as "Yogurt," Cruz says "Gogurt."  I love how he says words.  He puts a "g" sound in front of many words.  Examples: "Guck(duck), Galk(walk), Gock(sock), Gickey(Mickey).

We seem to have a new Bird Friend.  Bridgette usually only eats when she is alone in the kitchen, but will also sometimes eat if I put her food outside.  Today, a little scavenger was trying to get a few kibbles.  I had no idea that birds ate dog food!  This is the best picture I could get without scaring the bird away, but at one point, the bird was sitting right in the middle of the bowl feasting away!

These days, Cruz has taken to "hiding" when he does his business.  It is so hilarious to see all the places he ends up.  He ended up behind the garbage can today.  At daycare, he always hides under the slide.  He still won't admit to the crime if you ask him if that is what he is doing!

Study Break

Dad taking a study break with Cruz.  He has been working so hard studying for the CPA.  I am very proud of him.  I could not imagine studying for as many hours he has been studying.

This is also where Bridgette likes to sit when Ben studies.  She is a very supportive puppy!

Valentine's Day

Today was an excellent Valentine's Day.  Ben was home today studying for his first CPA test(Official Test Date: February 25th!).  He was so great and helped get Cruz ready this morning for daycare.  Then, he surprised me at work with Flowers, Chocolates, and Balloons.  I was one lucky lady.  He even drove all the way out there to bring them!

After school got out early at 11am, I came home and we went to Sushi.  Then, I spent two hours cleaning out my car, complete with the Carpet Cleaning Spray and a Real Car Wash.

We picked up Cruz and found out he had a great day at his Valentine party, complete with M&M's!  That was the part of the snack he ate first, of course.  Sadly, I have no idea if we have ever even given him M&M's?  He must have known what they were.

We had a nice relaxing evening.  Cruz enjoyed his reading his Valentine Books and playing with his Stickers.  He also had a great time with my balloons.  A yummy dinner of Toasted Ravioli and Bruschetta made the night complete!

Mom's Surprises!

Cruz's Valentine Mailbox--I think it is a sort of bird?

My Funny Valentine

Future Hair?

I found this picture on an ad for Zulily.  I am pretty sure this is a girl, but I think this is what Cruz's Hair Future might look like!  We are going to have to cut it sooner or later....I don't want him to have this style!

Valentine Card

Here is a video of Cruz reading his card from Grandma Gutierrez.  I had stuck it in between the two bins when I was changing his diaper, but he found it and decided it was a good place for the card to go.

"Yeah!"

Finally, I think we have gotten away from "NO" as the answer to everything.  Cruz has been much more agreeable as of late.  He says, "Yeah!" to most everything now.  It is a very nice change from all of the "No's" we had been getting!

Hot Dog!

Cruz now is singing the Hot Dog Song from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  It is so cute!  He sure can carry a tune!  I think he takes after his mom!

Riding the Bike at School

Here are a few shots of Cruz riding the Low Rider Bike at School.  He looks mad in some of the pictures because to get him to pose for the picture, I told him it was for KK, but he thought it meant we were going to Facetime KK.

He Said It!

Tonight was such an exciting night for Ben and I.  After his bath, while Ben was putting on his lotion, Cruz said, "I love you."  Yes, he was repeating it as I said it to him word by word, but he has never done that before!  It will just be a matter of time until he is saying it all by himself.  We even got it on video, and it is so priceless.  My heart is full.

Lemon Water

Cruz was after my cup this afternoon, so I gave him a sip.  He got quite a surprise when he realized it was not what he thought; it was Lemon Water.  His face was so funny and priceless.  Here are two videos of me trying to get him to drink the water again.  But as always, once the camera goes on, he never does what we want him to!

Fun at the Park

This morning, we enjoyed the warm, sunny weather at the nearby park we drive to.  It was nice to get out and Cruz loved burning off some energy.

Expert Climber! (Don't worry, I snapped this picture and immediately "Spotted" him to the top.  He is able to do it, but we are not ready to take any chances!)

Lunch with the Coopers

Today, Maribeth and Dick came for a visit.  They are out west enjoying the warm weather and stopped by Goodyear for lunch!  We were so excited to see them, and so excited for them to meet Cruz.  They came and saw the house, and then we went to lunch at Caballero.  It was so fun to catch up and "dish the dirt."  It was so nice to have a piece of home out here!  We thank them for making time for a visit!

They brought Cruz an Elmo book that he just loves!!  Can you tell?

Stick Horse

This month at Daycare the theme is Western/Cowboys.  Yesterday he made a Stick Horse.  Although he would not ride it, he had fun figuring out how to make it balance.  Such a little experimenter!

He actually ended up making it balance on the cup, but I could not get a picture in time!
