Pulling Himself Up!

Cruz has not pulled himself up since he stood up in his crib.  Today while we were waiting at Penney's for his 8-Month Pictures to upload, he did it!  It was so cool to see!  He was really wanting to play with the Bead Maze.  He even did it again this evening on his activity table.  He is not very sturdy yet, but will be soon enough!

He looks so tall!

So bizarre to see him in this upright position...

He fell down and somehow forgot he could pull himself up again!

Sleeping All Night Through!

Cruz has been sleeping through the night.  We had been putting him to bed at 7pm, waking him up at 10pm just for a bottle, then right back to bed.  But with him being sick, he was still waking up and crying in the middle of the night.  This week, we have been through a few changes.

On Wednesday, he took a long nap at daycare, so he had his usual afternoon bottle just before 6pm, then his solids in the 6 o'clock hour, and Ben took a chance and did not wake him up, and he never did.  In the past when Ben has "taken a chance," the baby always wakes up somewhere between 12-2am.  He has even slept straight through the past two nights as well.

We are also feeding him some solids at lunch time now and two snacks.  Ms. Melissa at daycare told us that he has been getting really mad when the older babies sit down for lunch and snack.  He wants to be eating just like everyone else.  He will throw a fit!  I think this is funny because he will sit with Ben and I at the table while we are eating and play with his toys, and the same at restaurants too.  He knows the other babies are his "equals."  So, now we are sending Mum-Mums and Puffs for snack, and have also added a solid at lunchtime as well.  He is happily eating everything he is given.  We are even gradually increasing his bottles from 6 to 7oz.  I think all of this is contributing to him sleeping better as well.  He is a growing boy!

Crawling?

Tonight Cruz crawled on the knees a little bit!  He has been getting up on his knees and immediately going flat once he starts moving, but tonight he actually did it!  It was so fun to watch!  I can't wait to see if he continues to do it more and hope to get some pictures!

Zorro

Cruz has figured out how to take apart the Play Mat.  He is now using the edges as a sword.  Why do we have all of these other toys when this is what he does to entertain himself?

Splashing Like Crazy!

Cruz has figured out how to splash!  The whole bathroom was soaked this evening.  Ben said he did not even have to wet his hair.  Now, even more reasons to love the bath.  I only hope the morning Baking Soda Sitz Bath is not so wet!  There is no time allotted for drying his hair before COOP!

Action Shot!

Loves his toys!

Standing Man!

Not only did he get his helmet "wrapped" today, Cruz also pulled himself up to a standing position, FINALLY!  We have been waiting for this ever since our trip home to Michigan.  Cruz was not thrilled about taking a nap this afternoon, so this is what he decided to do instead.  Ben was very uneasy and promptly lowered the crib down to the final and lowest setting.

As always..so proud of himself!

New and Improved Helmet!

Today, Ben took Cruz to get his helmet professionally "wrapped" by The Wrap Shoppe in North Phoenix.   They actually will wrap a Doc Band for free!  We are beyond thrilled with their design!  We don't think it even looks like he is wearing a helmet anymore.

Cruz Happenings

This past weekend, we went to Babies R' Us and bought out their entire Baby-Proofing Department.  Much of which, we are going to return because it is either not going to work for our house or is too chintzy.  But, it felt good to get the ball rolling, and Cruz is letting us know everyday what needs to be Baby-Proofed next.

Today, his daycare teacher informed me that no matter who is eating, what they are eating, or when they are eating, he MUST eat too!  Even if Cruz has just eaten shortly before, he MUST eat again.  I had to laugh...Maybe he is just like me?  He LOVES food!?!?!

He also is officially obsessed with anything that can open and shut, like books, doors, flaps, boxes of wipes, toys, anything!  It is hilarious.  He will sit there and open and shut things over and over again.  We keep wondering what kind of profession he might be interested in someday.

Everything is a Toy Now!

Now that we are back home...EVERYTHING IS A TOY!  Here are a few shots from today.  We seriously brought home a different kid than when we left.  He was not doing any of this before Michigan.  Life has begun a whole new chapter.  Baby-Proofing Time this weekend!
Hmmm....What is this?

Well, that looks pretty!

If I could just touch it!

Uh Oh!  Caught!
